Hawkesbury Hobblers
Oxfam Walker Team

Walking 100 kms in 48 hours is hard work, but getting the team to coordinate training or inspect the course is even harder, not to mention the support team.

A group of walkers on the Central Coast of NSW have entered the toughest team challenge event in the world the Oxfam Sydney Trailwalker.

Oxfam Trailwalker is all about teamwork - it is a great way fro friends to bond or for work colleagues to develop team spirit. You need to start together, go through each checkpoint together, and finish together.

The answer is TEAMWORK.

The support manager Dave Abrahams has loaded the team members into the vTeam Software Solution so he can communicate with the walkers, followers and the other support staff. He will utilise the latest technology to track and support the walkers but also needs to make sure that the extended support team is kept up-to-date with all other relevant information like rain, wind chill and other external factors that can make a the difference between completing the walk and calling an ambulance.

Dave will be utilising the extended reach of the vTeam sms prior to the event to make sure the team is training well, easting the right foods and even down to the monitoring of footwear before the event.
